The hub for marketing at IIM Shillong, Markathon serves as a centre for creativity, excellence for all those with an unwavering passion and love for marketing.
The club releases its flagship monthly magazine-Markathon, reaching out to over 5000 subscribers spanning over a host of corporates and premier B- Schools. The much adored section-Vartalaap features interviews of eminent personalities enriching the connect between corporate and academia.
The Club aims at interesting the students to hone their marketing knowledge and skills. The flagship marketing event of the college “Jingstad” pushes participants to the limit and aims to test creativity and quick thinking through two events - War of Brands and Ulta Pulta.
The popular event, ‘GodSellers’ is the annual marketing fair of IIM Shillong and tests just how persuasive and creative one can be as a sales person.
The Club keeps the essence of marketing upbeat across the campus by engaging all students in competitions and activities along with roping in various project and networking opportunities.
With an aim to test the sales skills of students, GodSellers is arguably the most awaited event of the year at IIM Shillong where the entire campus comes together and participates in the extravaganza.
Organized under the umbrella of “Jingstad”, it is a three stage competition organized by the Club is nothing short of a battlefield, wherein participants not only design advertisements for various brands but also market their ideas through social media platforms.
Also organized under the umbrella of “Jingstad” and as the name suggests, everything is in reverse. You think you know a brand, till we take it and completely change it to its polar opposite. This event is for the creative geniuses out there.
